I overheard this conversation....and basically the entire time I had the WTF look on my face while getting breakfast. It was between two younger girls...I would say late teens/early 20's.
Girl #1: Yeah, so I am going on vacation with my mom, Half dad and half sister
Girl #2: (giggles) Half dad? You mean STEP dad...
Girl #1: No, he is my half dad.
Girl #2: You cannot have a HALF dad. Your mom didn't use half of his sperm and half of someone else's to make you.
Girl #1: (looking confused as all hell) Soooooooooo.....he is my step dad?
Girl #2: YES
Girl #1: Oh, I wonder how they do it.

Girl #1: you know, like make half mom's and dad's...it has to be hard to use half a sperm or egg to make it work.
